Creativity (Power Parody)

So.. I did it. I went beyond my reason, and got the Digital Rebel. A bit more than I wanted to spend.. But I'm tired of always being forced into taking the cheap way out, getting a used item, buying the entry level bike and upgrading over time, working around a cameras limitations.
I got it at MSRP, with a lens, and good deal on a 512mb compact flash card. Plus it comes with a card for like 60 free 4x6 prints, a 'digital imaging class' (that I, could likely teach ;) and a $200.00 gift card to the store I purchased it from. So that will cover the verticle grip and new battery. Not a bad deal... But it still has breaking out into a sweat.
This purchase, takes up a good portion of my well deserved bonus - meaning that my trip home - or departure to the southwest - will be set back, probably by 4 weeks. This irritates me, because I need to leave. I'm done here. As much as Columbus is a keen place, it is not for me. Corporate, white collar, and just a little pretentious by my standards anyhow. Art here is a pretty strong movement, but it's very traditional, even in the 'alternitive aspects'...
Besides, I have photographic plans in the desert. I can't be shooting landscapes and night desert images with a 3 megapixel cam again.
And I just know there is this run down bar, off the side of the road somewhere near the four corners area - I have loose plans to make photographs; of the land, of the bar, of the debauchery...
So, I have to bring a camera that will do Justice; to those mentioned, but more importantly to the Bruja/Princesa del Desierto, who's spirit is inspiration, comraderie, as well as a magnet I cannot resist...
