About Me

Update... March 16, 2011. Three months in to this new year, it is shaping up to be one of the best riding years I can remember, expect, or dream up (though - last year will be difficult to top1). A good schedule of races is staring me down, and I'm planning on doing more than a few. Access to killer trails is not a problem; locally there's dozens, and within three hours, I have my choice of world-class riding. Creatively, I have about all the tools I could need, (less an airbrush!). Keen dslr, hdslr on the way, camcorder, GoPro, and a computer that can handle it. Last summer, I slacked on the photography a lot; this year will be different, lots of photos, a lot of video, and submissions and exposure every way I can manage it. I'd love to find a back door open in to the "industry", but, I'll break down the front door if I have to. My goals, however, are not all on the creative front. Competitively, I'd like get into a few DH races other than the 12-hour format. And it looks as though my first race will be an "enduro", where there will be pedaling of nearly 800 vertical feet involved! There's also the competition with myself - to progress my riding by regressing in to my past, when I was a much more "adventurous" rider. Last summer, I rode a couple trails that I once believed impossible for me. this summer, I have new impossible targets on the map.
